6805 C Cross Compiler

6805 C is more than a C compiler - it is a complete development system for C and assembler. With features like an integrated development environment†, assembler-free programming, and an intelligent optimizer, you can develop exceptionally tight and fast code with ease.

Motorola M68HC05 family microcontrollers are low-power 8-bit devices which have fully static operation and come with a variety of on-board peripherals and internal memory configurations. The 68HC05 has a flat memory space and can address up to 64K.

HI-TECH 6805 C is an industrial-strength ANSI C compiler - not a subset implementation like some other compilers. HI-TECH 6805 C produces fast, compact code taking full advantage of the 68HC05 direct addressing modes.

Compiler

Features of the compiler include:

ANSI C, supporting all standard data types
Unlimited number of source files
Multiple optimization levels
Comprehensive library with source code
Floating point support (IEEE 32-bit)
Mixed C and assembler programming
Unlimited function nesting and recursion
Listings showing generated assembler
Optimizing assembler
Full linker
Remote source-level debugger for low-cost in-target debugging included at no extra cost

Environment

6805 C can be run entirely from the HI-TECH Professional Development environment†. This environment allows you to manage all of your 6805/68HC05 projects. You can compile, assemble and link your embedded application with a single step.
Optionally, the compiler may be run directly from the command line, allowing you to compile, assemble and link using one command.

Processors Supported

The 6805 C compiler supports the 6805/68HC05 microcontroller family.

† The HI-TECH Professional Development environment (HPD) is not available under UNIX. The compiler is supplied on CD-ROM, with a Quick Start Guide. The User's Guide is provided on the CD-ROM in Acrobat and HTML formats. If you require a printed manual, it can be ordered at the same time as the compiler.
