Equipped with two 10BASE-T Ethernet controllers, the Dual-E can serve as a bridge between separate Ethernet networks, function as a miniature firewall / router, or provide network connectivity to existing equipment.

The Dual-E is based on the Intel 386Ex and comes preloaded with DOS operating system and Flash File system. The serial ports, counter/timers, and the interrupt controller are all fully compatible with the IBM PC at both the hardware and software levels. Onboard connectors allow for direct connection to Ethernet networks. Additional features include a watchdog timer, RS-485 serial port capability, hardware clock/calendar, and flexible storage options.

The Dual-E is coupled with the USNET® TCP/IP stack, from US Software. The associated libraries, documentation and tools are included with all Dual-E development kits. This system provides an integrated hardware and software solution ready for embedded development for an exceptionally low cost.

The Dual-E Development Kit (99-0065) includes a Dual-E single board computer, Connector Kit, Ethernet Cables, 110 VAC Adapter, Users Manual, and Borland C/C++ V4.52 Compiler with sample programs and utilities. Additional CD contains necessary USNET software and documentation for use with the Dual-E. (220Vin to 110V transformer (70-0006) available.)
