The APW-VB allows, at lower cost, the detection the height of the sludge fog decantation basin or any medium presenting a vertical profile of turbidity.
The sensor use the principle of optical absorption of the Infra-Red light. A measurement of 100% correspond to a ultra-clear water (without any suspended solid) and a measurement of 0% to a fully opaque sludge (concentrated sludge). So it becomes very easy to located the interface of sludge blanket.
